The second installment in the Big 5 coin series is the lion, proverbial king of the jungle, following the hugely successful elephant coins in February.
The Big 5 lion is now available in silver as a single coin (brilliant uncirculated quality), double capsule coins (proof quality) and the coveted Big 5/Krugerrand silver combination set (proof quality) comprised of a single proof Big 5 coin and single Krugerrand proof silver coin.
Similarly to its predecessor, the elephant, the Big 5 Lion will also be available in gold and platinum. Watch this space for more on these new coins.
The final two coins in the SA25 campaign are the circulation R2 Freedom of Religion and the R5 ‘Let us live and strive for freedom’ coins which are now in circulation.
The SA25 campaign has provided a wonderful opportunity to connect with South Africans in different cities; from Soweto to Tygervalley. We will continue taking the 25 years of democracy coins to various locations around the country, until the end of the year, so look out for our next stop for the opportunity to collect your circulation coin folder.
