Kruger to Canyons Biosphere Reserve

The 2019 colour coin range showcases the Kruger
to Canyons Biosphere Reserve, which is the
largest biosphere reserve in South Africa and the
third-largest in the world. The range illustrates
some of the area’s beautiful fauna and flora in
vibrant colour coins.
The R10 1 oz sterling-silver coins feature the
purple-crested turaco, the southern yellow-billed
hornbill, and the African flame lily and impala lily,
with a map of South Africa indicating the location
of this UNESCO-recognised biosphere
reserve featured on the coins’
common obverse.
